The Arduino Portenta Vision Shield Ethernet (ASX00021) is a hardware add-on that brings industrial-grade features to your Arduino Portenta. Designed for the Arduino Portenta H7, this shield enables embedded computer vision applications, wired Ethernet connectivity to the Arduino Cloud or your own infrastructure, and activation upon sound event detection.
The shield is equipped with a Himax HM-01B0 camera module offering a 320 x 320 active pixel resolution (with QVGA support) and high sensitivity 3.6μm BrightSense™ pixel technology for clear image capture. For audio, it includes two MP34DT05 MEMS PDM digital microphones for directional sound detection, and a 100 Mbps Ethernet connector for high-speed wired networking. Additional features include an SD-card connector for storage and a JTAG connector for debugging, all housed in a compact form factor of 66mm x 25mm (shield dimensions) suitable for stacking.
The Arduino Portenta H7's multicore 32-bit ARM® Cortex™ processors, running at hundreds of megahertz with megabytes of program memory and RAM, make advanced vision and audio processing possible. This shield is ideal for AI-based recognition, industrial monitoring, and smart automation projects.
