The BOURNS Thermal Cut Off Fuse is a miniature thermal cutoff device (TCO) designed to provide reliable overtemperature and overcurrent protection. It is specifically engineered for use with lithium polymer and prismatic cells, ensuring safety in demanding battery applications.
This device controls abnormal and excessive current virtually instantaneously, up to its rated limits, preventing potential damage from thermal runaway or short circuits. It features a functioning temperature of 72°C and a holding temperature of 40°C, with a minimum reset temperature of 40°C. The fuse is rated for 25A at 28V DC and comes equipped with blade terminals for straightforward installation.
Belonging to the CB Series, this thermal cutoff fuse is supplied without terminal protection. Its compact design, measuring 43 mm in height, 33 mm in width, and 15 mm in depth, combined with a lightweight profile of just 0.355 grams, makes it highly suitable for space-constrained electronic assemblies.
