BROADCOM 1-channel digital output optocoupler with 3.75kV isolation and 5Mbaud data rate. Ideal for high-speed logic and industrial use.
The BROADCOM 1 Channel Digital Output Optocoupler is a high-speed logic gate optocoupler featuring an AlGaAs LED. It incorporates optical receiver input stages with built-in Schmitt triggers and totem pole output stages, providing logic-compatible waveforms and eliminating the need for additional wave shaping or pull-up resistors.
Designed for superior performance, this optocoupler includes an internal shield that guarantees common mode transient immunity of 10kV/ms at a common mode voltage of 1000V. The electrical and switching characteristics are guaranteed from -40°C to 85°C, with a VCC ranging from 4.5V to 20V. Its low forward current and wide VCC range ensure compatibility with TTL, LSTTL, and CMOS logic, resulting in lower power consumption compared to other high-speed couplers.
Logic signals are transmitted efficiently with a typical propagation delay of 150ns, while a 300ns propagation delay is guaranteed over the full temperature range. This makes it highly suitable for the isolation of high-speed logic systems, microprocessor system interfaces, and eliminating ground loops.
