Broadcom 2-channel high-speed optocoupler, DIP 8-pin. Features 1Mbps data rate, 3.75kV isolation & open-collector output. Ideal for instrumentation.
This 2-channel high-speed optocoupler from Broadcom features a pair of LEDs and integrated photo-detectors, providing excellent electrical insulation between the input and output. It is engineered to significantly increase operational speed—up to a hundred times faster than conventional phototransistor couplers—by utilising separate connections for the photodiode bias and output transistor collectors, which effectively reduces base-collector capacitance.
A standard 16mA TTL sink current through the input LED will provide sufficient output current for one TTL load and a 5.6kΩ pull-up resistor. Delivering a high-speed data rate of 1Mbps, this component incorporates an open-collector output, making it highly suitable for demanding electronic circuit designs and high-speed signal transmission.
Please note that normal static precautions should be taken during the handling and assembly of this component to prevent damage or degradation which may be induced by electrostatic discharge (ESD).
