BROADCOM 4 channel optocoupler with transistor output. SOIC, 16 pins, 50mA, 3kV isolation. Ideal for programmable controllers.
The BROADCOM 4 Channel Optocoupler features an AC input and a quad-channel half-pitch phototransistor output. Designed for reliability, it provides robust electrical isolation and signal integrity, making it an essential component for sophisticated electronic circuits.
This optocoupler boasts a high input-output isolation voltage (VISO = 3750VRMS) and a current transfer ratio (CTR) of 20% minimum at IF = ±1mA and VCE = 5V. It delivers a non-saturated response time of just 2μs (typical) at VCC = 10V, IC = 2mA, and RL = 100 ohm, alongside a typical common-mode rejection (CMR) of 10KV/μs. It also meets stringent safety and regulatory approvals, including cUL and IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-5.
Applications
This component is highly suitable for use in I/O interfaces for programmable controllers, computers, sequence controllers, and system appliances. It is also ideal for measuring instruments and signal transmission between circuits operating at different potentials and impedances.
Enclosed in a standard SOIC package with 16 pins, the device supports a maximum forward current of 50mA and a collector-emitter voltage of 80V. Its compact dimensions (43 mm height, 33 mm width, and 15 mm depth) and lightweight design (0.324 grams) make it highly suitable for dense circuit board layouts where space is at a premium.
