BROADCOM HCPL-2731 Darlington optocoupler, 2-channel DIP-8, 3.75kV isolation, 400% CTR, ideal for low current applications.
The HCPL-2731-000E is a 2-channel, 8-pin low input current, high gain optocoupler from BROADCOM. This component features a separated pair of GaAsP light emitting diodes optically coupled to a pair of integrated high gain photodetectors, delivering extremely high current transfer ratio and excellent input-output common mode transient immunity.
A dedicated pin (VCC) for the photodiodes and first gain stages allows for lower output saturation voltage and higher speed operation than conventional photodarlington optocouplers. VCC can be as low as 1.6V without adversely affecting performance, while an integrated emitter-base bypass resistor shunts leakage currents to ground, ensuring outstanding performance at high temperatures.
With a minimum CTR of 400% at an input current of only 0.5mA, this optocoupler is ideal for low input current applications such as MOS and CMOS interfaces. It also offers a typical high current transfer ratio of 1800%, a low output saturation voltage of 0.1V, and a high output current of 60mA.
