The Broadcom Red Through Hole LED utilises advanced AlInGaP (aluminium indium gallium phosphide) technology to deliver high luminous output and stable light performance over extended periods. Designed for excellent readability even in bright sunlight, this untinted T-1 3/4 (5mm) lamp incorporates second-generation optics to produce well-defined spatial radiation patterns at specific viewing cone angles.
Built with an advanced optical-grade epoxy, the LED offers high temperature and high moisture resistance, making it highly suitable for outdoor signal and sign applications. It features a maximum LED junction temperature limit of +130°C, enabling reliable high-temperature operation. The epoxy includes UV-A and UV-B inhibitors to reduce the degrading effects of long-term exposure to direct sunlight.
With an operating temperature range of -40°C to 100°C, this LED provides dependable performance in demanding outdoor environments. It is also suitable for auto-insertion onto printed circuit boards, streamlining the manufacturing process.
