The DATASENSOR S5 Series Pol Reflex Photoswitch represents a highly versatile and complete range of plastic tubular M18 photoelectric sensors, designed for robust industrial applications. This specific polarised retroreflective model offers a sensing range of up to 3 metres, utilising advanced optics to reliably detect objects even in challenging, reflective environments. Its rugged ABS housing guarantees an IP67 protection degree, making it resistant to dust and temporary immersion in water, ensuring reliable operation in harsh conditions.

Equipped with either an infrared LED (880nm) or a red LED (650nm) for light emission, the sensor provides flexible detection capabilities. It features a 4-wire VDC connection with configurable NPN/PNP outputs and selectable dark or light operating modes, offering seamless integration into a wide variety of control systems. A clear red LED on the bottom side of the sensor provides immediate visual indication of the output status for easy troubleshooting and monitoring.

Versions with a trimmer adjustment include an additional green LED that signals switching stability based on the intensity of the received signal, allowing for precise tuning and optimal performance. The sensor comes with a 2-metre cable with a 5mm diameter for straightforward connection.
