The DFROBOT Gravity MOSFET Power Controller is a versatile module designed to drive large current devices using a limited current GPIO. Functioning effectively as a MOSFET relay or MOSFET driver, it solves the common problem of driving one or more relays simultaneously with microcontrollers that have limited current outputs, such as the Intel Edison, Intel Joule, LilyPad, and Raspberry Pi.
This controller features a standard PH2.0-3P Gravity interface, making it directly compatible with the Arduino IO expansion shield for plug-and-play convenience. It supports a VIN operating voltage of 5V to 36V DC and a VIN operating current of 0A to 20A. An external heat sink is recommended when the operating current exceeds 10A to maintain optimal performance and prevent overheating.
