HONEYWELL SS441A Digital Hall Effect Sensor, TO-92 Package

The HONEYWELL SS441A is a temperature-compensated digital Hall effect sensor integrated into a compact 3-pin TO-92 package. This highly versatile device is activated by the magnetic field from either a permanent magnet or an electromagnet, responding to alternating north and south poles or exclusively to a south pole. It is engineered for stability and reliability across a broad spectrum of electronic applications.

Key Features & Performance

Utilising advanced band gap regulation, the sensor ensures consistent and stable operation over a wide supply voltage range from 3.8VDC to 30VDC. This low-voltage capability makes it suitable for numerous modern, energy-sensitive circuits. The digital, open-collector sinking-type output can continuously handle 20mA and cycle up to a maximum of 50mA, allowing for easy and direct interfacing with a wide variety of microcontrollers, logic circuits, and other electronic components.

Robust Design & Construction

The sensor boasts a quad Hall IC design, which significantly minimises the effects of mechanical stress on its performance, enhancing its durability in demanding environments. Temperature-compensated magnetics are integrated to provide stable operation across an extensive temperature range from -40°C to 150°C (-40°F to 302°F). Its straight leads measure 14.99mm in length with a 1.30mm spacing, and the device is compatible with automated component placement systems, which can help to streamline assembly and reduce overall installation costs.
