The ICY DOCK FatCage 3-in-2 HDD Backplane is a high-capacity internal drive enclosure that allows you to install up to 3x 3.5-inch SATA HDD/SSD drives in just two 5.25-inch PC drive bays, helping you maximise your storage potential while saving space.
The unit features Icy Dock's innovative EZ-Tray system, providing quick-swap functionality for easy drive installation, maintenance, and compatibility with other Icy Dock products. A robust metal chassis ensures durability, while an included 80mm cooling fan facilitates excellent heat dissipation.
The enhanced airflow design ensures efficient cooling, even during intensive use. The fan is user-replaceable and compatible with most aftermarket 80mm fans (2/3 pin). Each drive bay includes an LED power/activity indicator, making it easy to monitor drive status.
Supporting SATA 6Gb/s (full backward compatibility with SATA 3Gb/s and 1.5Gb/s), the FatCage also offers hot-swap functionality for uninterrupted operation. The backplane uses two 15-pin SATA power connections, providing stable power delivery to all three drives.
