With a factory-preset grey coax cartridge featuring two fixed blades, including a new notched blade, this tool delivers an industry-standard 1/4” x 1/4” cable prep, leaving exactly 1/4” of conductor and 1/4” of shielding exposed—perfect for use with all IDEAL compression, crimp-on, and twist-on connectors.

Eliminating the need for adjustments or settings, the PrepPRO™ ensures immediate out-of-package use and consistent results across a wide range of cable types. Simply rotate the tool around the jacket 3–5 times for coax cables, or once for twisted pair cables. The robust blades are engineered to last over 3000 strips and are reversible for left- or right-handed users, while the spring-loaded mechanism provides consistent cutting force.

A second blue cartridge is included for stripping UTP/STP Cat 5e and Cat 6 cables, making this a versatile tool for network and telecom installers.
