INFINEON High and Low Side MOSFET Driver IC, PDIP-14 Package

The INFINEON High and Low Side MOSFET Driver is a robust and versatile integrated circuit designed for demanding power switching applications. Housed in a durable PDIP-14 package, it provides two independent channels capable of driving both high-side and low-side IGBTs or MOSFETs efficiently.

This driver features a floating channel architecture specifically designed for bootstrap operation, allowing it to be fully operational with voltages up to +500V or +600V. It exhibits excellent immunity to negative transient voltages and high dV/dt conditions, ensuring stable performance in electrically noisy environments. The gate drive supply range is flexible, operating from 10V to 20V, with an integrated undervoltage lockout (UVLO) feature on both channels for enhanced system protection.

Designed for modern control systems, it offers 3.3V logic compatibility. Its inputs are CMOS Schmitt-triggered with internal pull-down resistors, providing clean signal transition and improved noise immunity. The driver includes a cycle-by-cycle edge-triggered shutdown logic for precise fault management and features matched propagation delays between both channels, which is critical for maintaining accurate switching timing. The outputs are in phase with the inputs, simplifying control loop design.

With a capable source and sink current of 2.5A each, it can quickly charge and discharge power device gates to minimise switching losses. Its wide operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C makes it suitable for industrial, automotive, and high-reliability applications. The through-hole mounting (PDIP package) facilitates prototyping and robust assembly in a variety of electronic systems.
