The IP66 Steel Wall Mount Enclosure is a robust, sheet steel housing designed to offer superior protection for sensitive electrical equipment. With its IP66 rating, it is dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets, making it suitable for demanding indoor and outdoor industrial environments.
Further enhancing its durability is the IK10 impact rating, which means the enclosure is protected against 20 joules of impact energy, equivalent to a 5kg mass dropped from 400mm. This robust construction from 1.2mm mild steel ensures long-term reliability and resistance to physical damage.
Key Features & Design
The enclosure features a hinged and sealed front door, secured by a foamed-in polyurethane gasket and an integrated rain gutter system to guarantee a weatherproof seal. For flexible installation, it includes concealed and removable door hinges. This clever design allows the entire enclosure to be mounted with the integral gland plate facing the desired direction, and permits positioning for either top or bottom cable entry to suit your specific wiring needs.
Installation is straightforward, with easy wall fixing via pre-punched holes and welded studs provided for directly securing the internal mounting plate. Multiple earthing points are integrated for essential safety and grounding of housed equipment.
