The ISOCOM ISP844X is a high-performance, four-channel optically coupled isolator, designed for applications requiring robust signal isolation and reliable data transmission between circuits of different potentials and impedances. Featuring a high-density 16-pin DIP (Dual In-Line Package) case style, it integrates two infrared light emitting diodes (IREDs) connected in inverse parallel and NPN silicon phototransistors in each channel.
This configuration ensures excellent noise immunity and protects sensitive components from voltage spikes, ground loops, and other electrical disturbances. A key advantage of this optocoupler is its polarity-insensitive AC input, which simplifies circuit design and enhances compatibility with various signal types.
