The Kitronik Air Quality Control HAT is a comprehensive expansion board designed for the Raspberry Pi, offering a wide range of sensor inputs and additional connection points. Equipped with the onboard BME688 chip, this HAT accurately measures environmental conditions including temperature, pressure, humidity, air quality, and eCO2 levels. It also provides the ability to log and store data efficiently.
Combined with the Real-Time Clock (RTC) from the RP2040 IC, the HAT is highly suited for data logging applications. An integrated 128x64 pixel monochrome OLED display provides instant feedback and data output, whilst three multicolour ZIP LED status lights offer clear visual indicators.
The board provides multiple connection points for external devices and analogue sensors. External connections include 2x 1A outputs, a servo connection, and 3x analogue inputs. The HAT is powered directly via the 5V Raspberry Pi GPIO connector, eliminating the need for a separate power supply. A free code package and examples are available online to help you get started quickly.
