Knipex StepCut XL Cable Shears for easy cutting of copper and aluminium cables up to 120mm². Laser-hardened edges & VDE tested to 10,000V.
The Knipex 95 18 225 VDE StepCut® XL Cable Shears are designed for superior cutting performance with a large cutting capacity that makes them noticeably easier to use compared to compact cable shears. The laser-hardened cutting edges (approx. 56 HRC) ensure durability and precision. They feature dual cutting areas: a stepped cutting edge to hold small and larger cables close to the joint during the cut, and a front cutting edge for cutting very large cables step by step.
These shears offer easy one or two-handed operation with minimal handle opening for large cable diameters. The adjustable, high-leverage bolted joint provides precise and smooth cutting. Equipped with a VDE multi-component grip, these shears are tested up to 10,000V and safe for work up to 1,000V. They comply with DIN EN / IEC 60900, ensuring high safety standards. A pinch guard is included to prevent operators' fingers from being pinched.
Please Note: These shears are not suitable for steel-reinforced cables such as ACSR.
