Lantronix XPort Serial to Ethernet Module, 0-70°C

The Lantronix XPort Serial to Ethernet Module provides a compact, integrated solution to web-enable devices with a serial interface. By incorporating this module into a product design, manufacturers can significantly reduce their design cycle and achieve Ethernet connectivity efficiently.

Encased within a compact RJ45 package, the module integrates a DSTni-EX 186 controller, memory, 10/100 Ethernet transceiver, high-speed serial port, status/diagnostic LEDs, and three programmable I/O pins. It provides a complete networking interface in the space normally consumed by a standard connector.

To facilitate access to local networks or the Internet, the module features a fully developed TCP/IP network stack and OS. It also includes an embedded web server for remote configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. The device supports easy configuration via a web interface, customizable HTML web pages, interactive web pages via Java applets, and e-mail alerts. Network overhead is entirely handled by the module, ensuring high performance from the DSTni-EX processor.

With dimensions of just 43 mm x 33 mm x 15 mm and a weight of only 9.6 grams, this module is highly suited for space-constrained applications. It operates reliably within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
