Littelfuse PolySwitch RUEF Series Resettable Fuse 30V 3A

Littelfuse RUEF Series PolySwitch Resettable Fuse 30V 3A is a radial-leaded PPTC resettable fuse rated at 30V, with a 3.00A hold current on the RUEF300 variant. It limits excessive current in electronic circuits and resets automatically once the fault is cleared and power is cycled.

Overview

During an overcurrent fault, the RUEF Series PolySwitch trips into a high-resistance state, effectively breaking the circuit. Once the fault is cleared and power is cycled, the device resets and restores normal operation, removing the need for manual replacement of the fuse.

Key Features

• 30V voltage rating
• Holding currents up to 9A across the series
• RUEF300 variant: 3.00A hold current and 6.00A trip current
• Maximum time to trip of 10.8 seconds at 15A
• Low initial resistance range of 0.020 to 0.050 ohms
• Radial leads with 24AWG wire for straightforward integration
• Compact rectangular form factor with dimensions of 3.3 x 1.5 x 4.3 for PCB mounting

Construction and Performance

The body is made from cured, flame-retardant epoxy polymers that meet the UL 94V-0 standard for insulating materials. The device withstands a maximum interrupt current of 100A DC or 70A AC RMS and operates across a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Typical power dissipation is 2.00W and the unit weighs 0.538 g.

Applications

This fuse is intended for protecting sensitive electronics in applications such as satellite video receivers, industrial control systems, computer motherboards, modems, and USB hubs. Its compact form suits space-constrained PCB designs.

Choose the Littelfuse RUEF Series PolySwitch when you need resettable overcurrent protection in a compact radial-leaded format.
