Martindale LOK6 Universal Fuse Carrier Isolation Lock

The Martindale LOK6 is a universal locking-off device designed to isolate Red Spot and similar style fuse carriers safely and efficiently during maintenance work. Its primary function is to restrict finger access to live contacts and prevent the accidental reinsertion of a fuse, ensuring a secure working environment for engineers.

A key feature is its highly effective clamping system, which grips the wall of the fuse holder base securely without causing any damage. This adjustable clamp accommodates base wall thicknesses from 2mm to 5mm with ease, making the LOK6 a versatile 'one size fits all' solution for fuse holders rated from 20A to 100A. This universality saves valuable time on-site, eliminating the need to source multiple specific devices.

Installation is quick and requires no tools. Once clamped adjacent to the terminal, the device renders the fuse carrier safe. For enhanced safety, the LOK6 includes an integral sliding cover that can be positioned to minimise accidental finger access at the opposite end of the fuse holder base. The entire construction is made from insulating plastic, with no metal parts, significantly reducing the risk associated with use in live working environments.

The device accepts a wide range of padlocks with wire shackles up to 7mm in diameter, allowing for secure personal lockout. Its low-profile head height after installation means most cabinet doors can still be closed, and its bright yellow colour ensures high visibility for easy identification on the job.
