The MIC5317-3.3YM5-TR is a high performance, fixed output low dropout (LDO) voltage regulator providing a stable 3.3V output at up to 150mA. It is designed for demanding applications that require excellent power supply rejection (PSRR) and a compact footprint. The device operates from an input voltage range of 2.5V to 6.0V, making it ideal for USB port and 6V AC adapter powered systems.
This LDO offers 2% initial accuracy and a low dropout voltage of just 155mV at full load, ensuring efficient operation. It also features a low quiescent current of only 29µA, extending battery life in portable equipment. When disabled, the regulator draws virtually zero off-mode current, making it an excellent choice for power-sensitive designs.
The MIC5317 is stable with a small 1µF ceramic output capacitor, which saves board space and reduces component cost. It provides excellent load and line transient response, ensuring reliable performance under varying conditions. Built-in protection features include thermal shutdown and current limiting, safeguarding the device and the load.
