The MICROCHIP MIC2288YD5-TR is a compact and efficient 1A 1.2MHz PWM DC-DC boost (step-up) voltage regulator housed in a low-profile SOT-23-5 package. It implements a constant frequency, current mode control scheme with internal compensation, delivering outstanding transient response and precise output regulation. The high switching frequency allows for the use of smaller external components, saving valuable printed circuit board (PCB) space.
Its fixed frequency PWM topology minimises spurious switching noise and input ripple, making it an excellent choice for noise-sensitive applications. The device is stable with ceramic capacitors and features built-in protection mechanisms including undervoltage lockout (UVLO) and overtemperature shutdown to ensure reliable operation under adverse conditions. With a wide junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, it is suitable for demanding environments.
