This MICROCHIP OTP EPROM is a low-power, high-performance one-time programmable erasable read-only memory organised as 128K by 8 bits, offering a total memory density of 1Mbit. Designed for efficiency, the device requires only a single 5V power supply in normal read mode operation, typically consuming just 8mA.
Any byte can be accessed in less than 70ns, eliminating the need for speed-reducing WAIT states on high-performance microprocessor systems. In standby mode, the supply current drops to typically less than 10µA, making it highly energy-efficient. The rapid programming algorithm significantly reduces programming time, which is typically only 100µs per byte, whilst guaranteeing reliable results.
An integrated product identification code electronically identifies the device and manufacturer, allowing industry-standard programming equipment to automatically select the correct programming algorithms and voltages. Built using high-reliability CMOS technology, it features 2000V ESD protection and 200mA latchup immunity. The inputs and outputs are fully CMOS and TTL-compatible, and it operates reliably within an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
