The MICROCHIC PIC16F872-I/SP is a powerful mid-range 8-bit microcontroller from the well-regarded PIC16 family. It combines high performance, with an instruction execution time of 200 nanoseconds, with straightforward programming using only 35 single-word instructions. This CMOS flash-based device is built on the efficient PIC® RISC architecture, offering a robust feature set for embedded control applications.

It provides 3.5kB of program memory and 128 bytes of RAM, alongside a 5-channel, 10-bit analogue-to-digital (A/D) converter for precise sensor interfacing.
