The Microchip TC7662BCOA is a charge pump DC-to-DC voltage converter designed for data acquisition systems. It converts a +1.5V to +15V input into a corresponding -1.5V to -15V output, requiring only two low-cost capacitors and eliminating the need for inductors, thereby reducing cost, size, and electromagnetic interference (EMI).
The on-board oscillator operates at a nominal frequency of 10kHz, which can be increased to 35kHz by connecting pin 1 to V+, allowing the use of smaller external capacitors. For lower supply current applications, operation below 10kHz is possible by connecting an external capacitor from OSC to ground, with pin 1 left open.
