The MK 2 Gang DP Metalclad Switched Socket is a superior surface-mounting socket outlet designed for demanding environments. Its robust metal construction ensures impact resistance, making it suitable for factories, workshops, plant rooms, warehouses, schools, hospitals, garages, and sheds. The in-line terminals allow cables to be cut to the same length, and terminal screws are backed out and held captive for convenience. Front plates and back boxes are supplied together but not pre-assembled to speed up installation.
Built with heavy-gauge steel featuring epoxy/polyester and metallic powder paint coatings, this socket offers durability and a sleek finish. The socket inserts are constructed from polycarbonate/ABS thermoplastic with a strong 2-piece design for added resilience.
Key features include double-pole earthing for 'clean earth' installations (except PL01195), 47mm deep boxes with 20mm rear, side, and top/bottom knockouts, and double-pole switching on switched sockets (neutral breaks first, makes last).
