The Multicomp 9-Pin DE D-Sub IDC Socket is a high-quality female connector designed for reliable and durable connections in communication and networking applications. Featuring gold-plated stamped brass contacts and a robust PBT + glass fibre reinforced insulator compliant with UL94V-0 standards, this connector ensures excellent performance and safety.
This IDC/IDT termination socket accepts 26 to 28AWG wire gauge, enabling highly reliable mass termination of standard 0.05-inch pitch flat ribbon cable. A gas-tight junction is formed with each conductor at four places, enhancing durability and signal integrity. The connector transitions internally from standard 0.055-inch contact spacing to accommodate 0.05-inch ribbon cable without special preparation. The mating area benefits from duplex plating for enhanced conductivity and corrosion resistance.
