The Multicomp Pro Thermal Switch is a precision-engineered, temperature-activated protective device designed for reliable circuit control. It utilises a thermo-bimetallic snap-disc mechanism, which acts as the switching element with a fixed and calibrated activation point. When the external temperature reaches the designated threshold, the internal double contact system responds, either opening or closing the connected circuit to provide essential protection or control.

Heat transfer to the switch is efficiently achieved through convection or direct conduction from all sides onto its housing, ensuring accurate and responsive temperature sensing. Its versatile design, wide performance range, and diverse execution options make it suitable for use as a protective switch, sensor, or controller in numerous applications. For low-voltage and signal-current environments, such as in sensitive temperature-sensing circuits, models with gold-plated contacts are available for enhanced reliability.
