The Multicomp Pro MCKNP Series is a high-performance wirewound resistor engineered for reliability in demanding electronic circuits. Featuring a rod-type ceramic body and tin-plated iron surface steel end caps, this axial-leaded component is designed for through-hole mounting. Its construction utilises annealed copper wire, coated with tin-lead, ensuring excellent solderability and connectivity. The resistor is fully insulated with a robust, non-flame paint coating, enhancing its safety profile. A key feature is its ability to be securely joined by welding, with no evidence of flaming or arcing during operation, making it a dependable choice for power applications.
This resistor exhibits excellent flame resistance and is of a non-inductive type, minimising unwanted inductance in high-frequency circuits. It is specified for an ambient temperature of 70°C. For secure mechanical installation, the terminal leads can be bent 90° at approximately 6mm from the resistor body and are capable of withstanding a 360° rotation test in alternating directions. The MCKNP Series is AEC-Q200 qualified, meeting stringent automotive-grade reliability standards for passive components.
