Data present at the nD input is transferred to the nQ output on the low-to-high (positive edge) transition of the clock signal, provided it meets the specified set-up and hold time requirements. A key feature is the inclusion of Schmitt-trigger action on the clock input, which significantly enhances noise immunity and makes the device highly tolerant to slower clock rise and fall times, ensuring stable operation in real-world environments.
