The ONSEMI LP2951CDR2G is a micro-power voltage regulator engineered to maintain precise regulation with an extremely low input-to-output voltage differential. Designed for efficiency, it features a very low quiescent bias current of just 75μA while delivering output currents exceeding 100mA. Internal current and thermal limiting protect the device under fault conditions.
This regulator stands out with three advanced features. The error output signals external circuitry when the regulator falls out of regulation, doubling as a microprocessor power-ON reset. The output voltage can be preset to 5V, 3.3V, or 3V, or programmed from 1.25V to 29V using the pinned-out resistor divider and feedback input. A shutdown input allows logic-level control to turn the output on or off, conserving power when needed.
