Developed by Polymaker, this material is a Nylon 6 (PA6) filament reinforced with 20% carbon fibre, creating a composite that delivers significantly improved stiffness, tensile strength, and heat resistance compared to standard filaments. Its outstanding layer adhesion, achieved through proprietary Fibre Adhesion™ technology, ensures strong bonding between layers for cohesive and durable prints that can withstand high mechanical and thermal stress.

This filament is capable of withstanding continuous use temperatures of up to 215°C, making it an excellent choice for functional prototypes, end-use parts, and components operating in high-temperature environments. It also offers good chemical resistance, ensuring suitability for use in chemically aggressive settings. Optimised for performance, it supports printing speeds of up to 300mm/s, facilitating efficient production without compromising on quality.

Key Specifications & Usage

• Printing Parameters: Requires a nozzle temperature between 280°C and 300°C and a recommended heated bed temperature of 40°C to 50°C for optimal adhesion and warping prevention.
• Spool Details: Supplied as 0.5kg of filament on an eco-friendly cardboard spool. The spool dimensions are 200mm in diameter by 65.6mm wide, with a 55mm inner hole diameter.
• Important Usage Notes: Due to the abrasive nature of carbon fibre, a wear-resistant nozzle such as hardened steel or ruby is highly recommended to prevent brass nozzle degradation. Furthermore, the nylon base material is hygroscopic and must be stored in a dry environment with relative humidity below 20% to maintain print quality and prevent issues like bubbling and poor layer adhesion.
