Constructed with an unshielded (UTP) design, the cable features four twisted pairs to help reduce crosstalk and interference. The conductors have a size of 0.511mm, equivalent to 24AWG, with a conductor cross-sectional area of 0.5mm². The overall cable diameter is 5.2mm, with a core size of 0.89mm, providing a balance of flexibility and durability for pulling through conduits and trunking.
The outer jacket is made from grey PVC, offering protection against everyday wear and tear. This cable is classified under CPR (Construction Products Regulation) category Eca. It is important to note that this CCA cable is not recommended for Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications due to the higher electrical resistance of aluminium compared to pure copper.
