The PRO POWER UTP Network Cable is an economy-grade networking solution, supplied on a convenient 305-metre reel. Its construction utilises Copper Clad Aluminium (CCA) conductors, which offer a cost-effective alternative to solid copper cabling for specific applications.
This cable features 4 twisted pairs of 25AWG solid conductors with a cross-sectional area of 0.2mm², designed to meet the requirements for basic network infrastructure. The outer jacket is made from a durable blend of polyester and PVC, providing protection and flexibility during installation. The cable is unscreened (UTP) and presents a characteristic impedance of 100±15Ω.
Important Usage Note:
This cable is not recommended for Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications. The CCA conductors have different electrical properties compared to pure copper, which can lead to increased resistance and potential overheating under the power loads required by PoE devices. It is classified under CPR (Construction Products Regulation) category Eca.
Ideal for cost-sensitive projects where high-speed data transfer or power delivery is not a primary concern. Its grey colour allows for discreet installation in office ceilings, under floors, or within wall cavities.
