The Proto-Advantage PA0087C is a compact and highly specialised surface mount adaptor, designed to bridge the gap between modern, fine-pitch components and traditional prototyping interfaces. Part of the Chip Quik Compact Series, it seamlessly converts a SC70-6 package with a very fine 0.65mm pin pitch to a standard 6-pin DIP (Dual In-line Package) footprint with a 0.1-inch (2.54mm) pin pitch and a 300-mil body width.

Engineered for reliability and precision, this adaptor features high-quality bottom-side machine pins that come pre-installed, saving you time and ensuring a perfect fit. The pins are gold-plated (1µm gold over 50µm nickel) for excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance, with a 0.46mm diameter and a 3mm length. For superior positional accuracy during soldering, the pins are installed using a combination of surface mount and partial through-hole technology.
