The QTX 4-Way DMX Splitter Booster is an essential piece of professional lighting control equipment, designed to distribute and amplify DMX512 signals across large installations. It efficiently splits a single DMX input into four isolated outputs, allowing you to run multiple lighting fixtures or sub-chains from a central controller without the need for complex and lengthy daisy-chaining. This setup simplifies system design and significantly reduces cable runs, making it ideal for stages, theatres, and event venues.

A key feature of this unit is its opto-isolated DMX outputs. The outputs are isolated in pairs (channels 1 & 2 and 3 & 4), which provides crucial electrical protection. This isolation prevents faults, such as a short circuit or ground loop in one chain, from affecting the others or taking down the entire lighting system. When a fault occurs, it can be quickly identified and fixed in the isolated section, ensuring the rest of the show continues uninterrupted.

Powered by a standard 230V AC mains supply, the built-in signal booster regenerates and strengthens the DMX signal. This is vital for driving signals over long cable distances, preventing data degradation and ensuring reliable communication with all connected fixtures. The unit offers the flexibility of either using a DMX loop-through output or terminating the signal with the supplied terminator to prevent signal reflections.

With robust 3-pin XLR connections and housed in a durable casing, this splitter is built for the rigours of professional touring and permanent installations. It arrives fitted with a UK Type G mains plug, ready for use.
