The SB Components Pico RFID Expansion Board effortlessly transforms your Raspberry Pi Pico into a fully functional RFID reader. Every RFID card and tag carries a unique, non-copiable identity, and this board allows you to access the information stored on them, making it ideal for a wide range of contactless applications, including payment systems, ID security badges, and goods tracking.
This expansion board is compatible with 125kHz ID cards, fobs, and tags, and comes supplied with one RFID card and one keyfob, so you can start experimenting right away. It features an integrated programmable 0.91-inch OLED display for visual feedback and an onboard programmable buzzer for audible alerts. Control jumpers let you independently manage the OLED, RFID reader, and buzzer pins, offering flexible configuration.
Designed for direct connection to the Pico, the board includes female headers that accept a Pico with male headers soldered (pins pointing down). External male pins give you access to GPIO connections, while the UART/I2C communication interface ensures easy integration with your projects. The kit contains the RFID board, an RFID card, and an RFID keyfob. Please note: the Raspberry Pi Pico shown is for illustration only and is not included.
