SparkFun DIY Decade Resistance Box Kit
Build a custom decade resistance box with this soldering kit—ideal for circuit testing, education, and DIY electronics projects.
The SparkFun DIY Decade Resistance Box Kit is an advanced through-hole soldering kit that allows you to build a highly functional decade resistance box, making it an invaluable tool for any electronics workbench.
A decade box contains multiple resistors with varying values, which can be accessed via mechanical rotary switches. Each switch corresponds to a specific digit in a decimal number (units, tens, hundreds, etc.), enabling you to dial in precise resistance values quickly and efficiently.
Once assembled, this compact and reliable resistance box can be used in circuit testing, prototyping, and educational experiments, providing a hands-on learning experience in electronics. The project is ideal for hobbyists, students, and professionals who need a flexible and adjustable resistance source.
