The SparkFun RFID Starter Kit provides everything you need to start experimenting with RFID technology quickly and easily. This all-in-one kit includes a USB RFID reader, an ID-12LA RFID module, and two 125kHz RFID cards, making it perfect for prototyping and educational projects.
Simply plug the RFID module into the USB reader, and you're ready to scan RFID tags via a USB connection. Once connected, open a terminal at 9600bps 9N1 to see the unique ID of any scanned RFID card displayed on your screen. The built-in read LED and buzzer provide instant feedback when a tag is detected.
This kit is built around an FTDI chip, ensuring reliable communication with your computer. Whether you're a hobbyist, educator, or developer, this starter kit offers a hassle-free introduction to RFID technology.
