STMICROELECTRONICS STM1001 reset circuit. Monitors 1.2-5.5V supplies, asserts reset at 3.08V threshold. Low 6μA current, SOT-23-3 package.
The STMICROELECTRONICS STM1001 is a low-power, microprocessor supervisory circuit designed for robust power supply monitoring. It reliably asserts a reset signal whenever the monitored VCC supply voltage drops below a preset threshold, ensuring system stability during power disturbances. This active-low, open-drain reset output remains asserted until VCC rises above the threshold and remains stable for a minimum recovery time (trec), preventing erratic operation during power-up and brown-out conditions.
Engineered for efficiency, the device features an exceptionally low typical supply current of just 6μA, making it ideal for power-sensitive applications. A key reliability feature is the guaranteed reset assertion even when VCC drops as low as 1V, providing critical protection in severe undervoltage scenarios. The integrated delay time of 210ms further filters out transient noise on the supply line.
Housed in a compact SOT-23-3 surface-mount package, this monitoring circuit is perfect for space-constrained PCB designs. Its wide operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C ensures dependable performance in harsh industrial environments. The specified reset threshold voltage is 3.08V, supporting a broad input supply range from 1.2V to 5.5V.
