This Synchronous Buck Step-Down Regulator from Texas Instruments features DCS-Control™ topology, optimised for applications requiring high power density. Operating with a high switching frequency of typically 2.25MHz, it allows the use of small inductors while providing fast transient response and high output voltage accuracy.
It is ideally suited for systems powered from Li-ion or other batteries, as well as 12V intermediate power rails. The device supports up to 1A continuous output current and features a 100% duty cycle mode. Power sequencing is achievable by configuring the Enable and open-drain Power Good pins.
In power save mode, entered automatically and seamlessly under small loads, the device draws a typical quiescent current of just 17µA from the input, maintaining high efficiency across the entire load range. In shutdown mode, the current consumption drops to less than 2µA.
