The device incorporates low-voltage AC control circuitry, enabling precise switching at flow rates below 1 litre per minute, making it highly sensitive to low-flow conditions.
Its construction features a black noryl housing and a noryl shuttle, with ruthenium contact material ensuring long-term electrical reliability. The switch is rated to a maximum pressure of 10 bar at 20°C and boasts an IP65 rating, providing solid protection against dust and water jets, suitable for demanding environments.

This flow switch operates from a very small head of water with minimal pressure drop, and is designed for vertical mounting with a flow-upwards orientation for optimal performance. It is suitable for switching both hot and cold potable water as well as air flow. The internal SPST (Single Pole Single Throw) reed switch is highly reliable, closing (N/O - Normally Open) when flow is detected. Typical applications include mains water control, power showers, central heating systems, circulation pump protection, and various cooling systems.
