TE Connectivity Vertical Float Switch

The TE Connectivity Vertical Float Switch is a compact and highly reliable liquid level sensor, specifically designed for precise level sensing applications. It utilises a moving float with an embedded magnet to activate a uniquely designed reed switch located within the sensor stem. As the liquid level passes the sensor, the float travels up or down the stem, providing either a normally open or normally closed switch indication.

The exceptional reliability of this sensor results from its straightforward operating principle, featuring a single moving part and non-reactive, media-compatible wetted materials. The unique reed switch holds a UL recognised component certification, further assuring its quality and performance. The housing is constructed from glass-filled polypropylene (FPP), ensuring durability and resistance when used with chemical and water media.

This vertical float switch offers versatile installation options, capable of being mounted in either the bottom or top of a tank via its M8 x 1.25 thread. Its compact, low-profile design makes it suitable for installations where space is limited. With an SPST output, a voltage rating of up to 250VAC, and a current rating of up to 1A, it provides robust electrical performance. The switch operates effectively within a temperature range of -30°C to 70°C and can withstand pressures up to 1.3 bar. Measuring 43 mm in height, 33 mm in width, and 15 mm in depth, and weighing just 16 grams, this level sensor is an efficient choice for your fluid management systems.
