At its core, the device features a 16-stage binary counter and an oscillator controlled by two external resistors and a capacitor, providing exceptional flexibility in setting time intervals. An integrated automatic power-on reset circuit ensures reliable startup, while the output control logic allows selection from the 8th, 10th, 13th, or 16th counter stage via time select inputs A and B. The output can be configured as either Q or Q (complement) and is available in two distinct operating modes, selectable via the MODE input.
