The gain is internally fixed at 34dB, minimizing external component count and holding system cost to a minimum. An unique input stage allows ground referenced input signals, making it easy to interface with various audio sources.
The output automatically self-centers to one-half the supply voltage, ensuring optimal dynamic range. The device is short circuit proof with internal thermal limiting for reliable protection. The standard dual-in-line package outline, combined with a copper lead-frame and center pins acting as a heat sink, makes this amplifier easy to use in standard PCB layouts.
