With its gain internally set to 20, it minimises the need for external components, keeping your circuit design clean and cost-effective. For applications requiring higher amplification, the gain can be easily increased to any value from 20 to 200 by simply adding an external resistor and capacitor between pins 1 and 8. The inputs are ground referenced, and the output automatically biases to half the supply voltage, simplifying integration and ensuring stable operation.
A standout feature is its remarkably low power consumption. The quiescent power drain is only 24mW when operating from a 6-volt supply, making the LM386M-1 an ideal choice for battery-powered devices where longevity is critical.
