The Texas Instruments OPA2277UA is a high-precision operational amplifier designed as a superior replacement for the industry-standard OP-177. It delivers enhanced performance with improved noise characteristics, a wider output voltage swing, and is twice as fast while using half the quiescent current, making it a more efficient choice for demanding applications.
Key features of this dual op-amp include an ultralow offset voltage and drift, low bias current, and exceptionally high common-mode and power supply rejection ratios. For maximum design flexibility, the single, dual, and quad versions in the series share identical electrical specifications.
This operational amplifier operates from a wide supply range of ±2V to ±18V and maintains excellent performance across the full span. Unlike many amplifiers specified at only one voltage, the OPAx277 series is specified for real-world use, with a single performance limit applying over the ±5V to ±15V range. High performance is sustained even as the amplifiers swing to their specified limits.
The extremely low initial offset voltage typically eliminates the need for user adjustment. For specialised applications requiring fine-tuning, external trim pins are available on the single version (OPA277). The device is also a green product, manufactured without antimony or bromine (Sb/Br).
