The Multicomp Pro Thermal Switch is a precision thermostat switch designed for reliable temperature control and protection. Featuring a thermo-bimetallic snap-disc with a fixed switching temperature, this switch opens or closes the circuit when the ambient temperature reaches 100°C (±5% tolerance), providing an effective solution for a wide range of applications.

Engineered for universal use, this switch employs a double contact system and ensures efficient heat transfer via convection or direct conduction. It operates as a normally closed (NC) contact, ideal for temperature sensing and control in electrical equipment. The switch supports a rated current of 13A or 6A at 250V, 50/60Hz (with power factors of 0.95/0.6), and offers a temperature rating range from 70°C to 160°C (TA), with switching temperature in 5°C steps.

The component is designed with a robust housing and features wire lead terminals, making it easy to integrate into various circuits. It boasts a low contact resistance of less than 50mohm (including 100mm of wire) and can withstand 1000 switching cycles under rated current, ensuring durability and consistent performance. This switch is available in manifold executions, including a special low-voltage version, and is non-sensitive to current fluctuations.

Applications include motors, transformers, coils, electronics, sensors, and process automation. For low-voltage and signal current applications, gold-plated contacts are available as an option. The switch is certified to VDE, UL, and cUL standards, ensuring quality and safety. With an IP00 degree of protection per EN 60529, it is suitable for basic indoor use.
