Texas Instruments Schmitt Trigger Buffer, 1.65V to 5.5V, SOT-23-5. Features IOFF support & low power consumption for portable devices.
The Texas Instruments Single Schmitt-Trigger Buffer is designed for 1.65V to 5.5V VCC operation. This CMOS device performs the Boolean function Y = A, offering high output drive while maintaining low static power dissipation across a broad operating range. It functions as an independent buffer, but due to Schmitt action, it features different input threshold levels for positive-going (VT+) and negative-going signals.
This device is fully specified for partial-power-down applications using IOFF. The IOFF circuitry disables the outputs, preventing damaging current backflow when the device is powered down. This allows for down voltage translation and supports live insertion, partial-power-down mode, and back-drive protection.
It boasts latch-up performance exceeding 100mA per JESD 78 Class II, with inputs that accept voltages up to 5.5V. Delivering a propagation delay of just 4.6ns at 3.3V, it ensures rapid signal processing. With a low power consumption of 10µA ICC and an output drive of ±24mA at 3.3V, it balances efficiency and performance. Furthermore, it is a green product containing no antimony or bromine.
Packaged in a compact SOT-23-5 format, this buffer weighs just 0.145 grams with dimensions of 43 mm x 33 mm x 15 mm, making it highly suitable for space-constrained designs.
