Timco Penny Washer DIN 9054 - BZP - M6 x 20
Buy Timco zinc-plated penny washers (DIN 9054). Carbon steel, Cr3 finish. Ideal for load distribution, hole reduction & packing. Bulk carton.
The Timco Penny Washer DIN 9054 is a robust, larger-diameter fastening component, often referred to as a 'mudguard' washer. Its primary function is to distribute the clamping load over a wider surface area, providing enhanced stability and preventing damage to the materials being fastened. This makes it an indispensable hardware item for a multitude of applications where a standard washer simply won't suffice.
This washer is engineered from durable carbon steel, ensuring high tensile strength and resistance to deformation under pressure. It features a premium Trivalent Chromium (Cr3) Zinc plating, which offers superior corrosion resistance compared to traditional finishes. This eco-friendly, hexavalent-chrome-free coating provides a long-lasting protective barrier against rust and weathering, making these washers suitable for both indoor and outdoor projects.
Key Applications & Benefits
- Load Distribution: Ideal for use with softer materials like wood, plastic, or sheet metal, where a standard washer might embed itself, the penny washer's large outer diameter spreads the force, protecting the material surface.
- Hole Reduction: Perfect for adapting a bolt to a hole that is slightly too large, ensuring a secure and tight fit.
- Packing/Spacing: An excellent solution for packing out or creating precise spacing in an assembly.
- Versatile Use: Commonly used in automotive work (hence 'mudguard'), construction, fencing, furniture assembly, machinery, and general repairs.
Supplied in a high-volume carton pack, these washers offer exceptional value for trade professionals, workshops, and serious DIY enthusiasts who require reliable components in bulk. Conforming to the DIN 9054 standard, they guarantee consistent quality, dimensions, and performance, ensuring compatibility and reliability in every application.
